RESUME And COVER LETTER REVIEWS

• Daily walk-ins for quick critiques M-F, 2-4 pm in 202 Stearns for undergraduates.
• Graduate students, especially PhD students and international students, should make appointments for resume review.

JOB SEARCH PLANNING AND STRATEGY APPOINTMENTS

• Review of materials for focus and effectiveness
• Orientation to the current employment marketplace and how to research it for opportunities
• How to build and use a network: informational interviewing, finding contacts, and the Alumni Directory
• Orientation to Career Services resources: HuskyCareerLink, On-Campus Recruiting, Fairs

ADVANCED INTERVIEWING PREPARATION

Interviewing handouts and workshops, practice interviewing and Interview Stream

PLEASE CONSIDER REFERRING

• The student who knows that her major is the right one and doesn’t have a plan
• A student who wants help figuring out what kind of job is right for him
• Any graduating student who wants to conduct an effective after-graduation job search - a search that is quite different from a co-op job search
• A students headed to graduate school who want help with personal statements or interviewing

To make an appointment, use myNEU and click on the Career services tab. Please click on Career Counselor Appts and select Career Services/ Career Services from the Advisor Drop Down Menu. This will bring you to a list of schedules for the Career Services counseling staff. Liaisons for each college are listed below.
